My wife first came under the care of Mr Satyadas some two years ago. She had had an MRI scan for a back injury and it had been noticed that she appeared to have something on her pancreas and she was referred to Mr Satyadas. At the first consultation Mr Satydas, a really nice charming man, put us at our ease. He told us that there were indications of a growth of some kind on the pancreas but believed that a further scan of the pancreas was required in order to obtain clearer details of what was wrong. This was done and a further consultation followed. At the second consultation he showed us the scan results and said there was something showing on the pancreas. He then went on to explain that the problem was in an area of the pancreas that he and colleagues who he had discussed the scan with had not experienced before. Their joint opinion was that it was unlikely to be cancerous but should be monitored. He then went on to explain that the location of the growth was such that any attempt to do a biopsy would be difficult and that my wife's general health was such that he would not recommend it. During the whole of the consultation Mr Sataydas was caring and professional, answering all our questions in an easily understood manner. We have since had other consultations and they have always been conducted in the same warm. friendly, professional manner. A few weeks ago my wife was not feeling well with symptoms Mr Satyadas had told us she might experience if there was any worsening of the pancreatic problem. We made contact with Mr Satyadas's secretary to try and arrange an appointment. We were advised that he was on holiday but would be back at the weekend and she would bring the matter to his immediate attention. On the Sunday evening we received a telephone call from Mr Satyadas asking how my wife was and saying that the next day he would arrange an MRI scan for her as soon as possible. On the Monday morning he contacted us to say that the scan had been arranged for Tuesday morning and that he would arrange a further consultation once he and other colleagues had been able to consider the scan. The next morning, Wednesday, he contacted us again to ask us if we could go and see him that evening. This we did to be told that while the problem with the pancreas still existed nothing had changed from the first and subsequent scans and he and his colleagues didn't think that it was cancerous. However he believed the condition should continue to be monitored. Yet again he was warm and reassuring, seeing him is like visiting a friend a good friend. To conclude, we think that Mr Satyadas is a great physician, a caring person and a good friend. We are delighted to award him the maximum number of stars. In fact we would give him more if we could.

I was referred to Mr Satyadas at The Alexandra Hospital regarding a problem with my gall bladder, after consultation Mr Satyadas suggested removal was the best option. He was very friendly and explained the procedure in a manner that was easily understood and arranged for me to be admitted the following weekend. On the day of the operation he came to see me in my room to make sure I was OK, and he made me feel relaxed and confident going in to the theatre. My husband waited in my room until after my operation, Mr Satyadas went immeadiately to see my husband after the operation. My husband had been quite worried and Mr Satyadas told him everything went well, and I know my husband appreciated that. I have since seen Mr Satyadas for a follow up consultation and he told me everything was as it should be. I'm very grateful for the caring and professional way he handled my situation.

Mr. Satyadas was very professional and listened to my history with an ongoing problem with stones in my gall bladder. He acted quickly as possible and I received very good treatment under his care. He also had a very good sence of humour! I feel this was important as it made him approachable and put me at ease. He explained in detail about my procedure in surgery so I was prepared when I went into theatre. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr. Satyadas to my family and friends. An extremely nice gentleman. He has given me back my quality of life. Thank you.

Dr Satyadas was a really great doctor. I hadn't had great care prior to seeing him as if been passed around departments. But he listened to my concerns, dealt with the issues and provided care far above and beyond his duty. Even the nurses commented to say how amazed they were at the after care he gave. I'm so grateful for his help.

My husband has recently had a liver resection (5th July 2016) performed by Mr Thomas Satyadas. What a wonderful man! So caring, understanding and friendly. During our first meeting Mr Satyadas explained exactly what he was going to do very clearly and concisely, giving us great confidence in him . He also made sure that my husband was fit enough for the operation and prepared him for a fast recovery. Mr Satyadas visited my husband just before his operation to reassure him and answer any last minute questions. I was phoned by Mr Satyadas as soon as the operation was over reassuring me and putting my mind at rest. My husband was visited frequently by Mr Satyadas while he was in hospital and phoned regularly when he returned home even though Mr Satyadas was away on holiday. My husband recovered very quickly after the operation and after only two weeks was walking 5 miles a day. This was down to the excellent skill and advice and encouragement of Mr Satyadas. We were extremely fortunate to have such a superb consultant looking after us both and can't thank him enough. I highly recommend Mr Thomas Satyadas.
